Even the restaurant looks great from the photos actually it is in a small shopping center and the ambiance is pretty cold, not very beautiful. We went for Valentines thinking it was an Italian restaurant but it is kind of a cheap Italian franchise but not cheap at all. Disappointing. Food was ok if you were paying under ten dollars for it but over 20-25 dish quality needs to be way better. It is definitely not real Italian cuisine. The Diavola pizza is made with with Asian chilli instead with spicy salami. The carbonara tasted very basic and not Italian. Calamari were good quality and price relatively fair. It was good quality. Truffle fries also very good, as I said food is ok but I would not say is an Italian restaurant. Service was slow but the staff was friendly. The problem comes with the price. If you pay under 50 dollars is ok, you get what you pay for. When you are over 100 quality should match the price and it does not. To sum up, decent food overpriced.

Very decent Italian food. Place is small & cramped. Can be very noisy when there’s rowdy customers.. For small establishments like this, I expected the menu prices to include service charge & GST but it’s not.
Unlikely to return due to the small space & high prices after taxes.

The entire meal was scrumptious. The hawaiian pizza was delicious with the crispy ham with the taste of cheese. 🧀 The squid ink pasta was homemade and had fresh ingredients. The portion was generous. The marinara spaghetti had excellent range of seafood : mussels, prawn, squid and shellfish 🦪

Cosy restaurant inside East Village! Had the Granchio (Squid ink pasta with crab meat) and Gamberi (Capellini with prawn), both were very delicious with generous portions. Well priced too. Chef was very friendly and welcoming! Will be back

Even though the restaurant is small but I really like how cozy it is and has this home-ly vibes. It's the perfect place if you are looking for an intimate meal with your friends or your loved ones.
Their pizza and pasta were really fresh and yummy! Pumpkin soup was flavourful, however the mushroom soup was a little bland.. but other than this, everything else was really good. And not forgetting their service was great too! Would definitely recommend and return! 👍🏼

Tucked away in a quiet corner of East Village Mall along Upper Changi Road, Maggiano is truly a hidden gem. The mall itself may not draw much foot traffic, but that’s exactly what makes this place feel like a cosy, undiscovered Italian nook.
We popped by for lunch and were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty, which made the experience feel peaceful and private. The warm, rustic décor paired with the aroma of fresh herbs and pizza made it feel like a little slice of Italy.
We tried a variety of dishes and everything impressed. The Tiramisu was the standout — wonderfully fluffy, moist, and delicately balanced. Their Mushroom Risotto, though a tad on the smaller side portion-wise, was comforting and flavourful. The pasta dishes were well-executed, with a generous drizzle of quality olive oil that enhanced every bite.
What stole the show was the freshly baked Margherita pizza — simple, cheesy, and incredibly satisfying. And do not leave without trying their truffle fries — crispy, aromatic, and absolutely addictive.
They also offer a great lunch set menu that includes a soup or salad and a drink, making it well worth the visit for a mid-day treat. Great for mini gatherings with friends!

The star of the show is the seafood marinara… if you were to only have 1 dish, that would be it. Beautiful garlicky flavour (in the best way possible), a superb sauce and they’re so generous with the portions.
Would also recommend the lasagna, maggiano pizza and tiramisu. Place is small and cozy (tho my 1.83m height was a little cramped in the booth seats). Ambience is lovely as well!
Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Also very knowledgable in the menu (as he was the head chef!) Would highly recommend this place

A really small Italian joint in East Village that serves pretty good food!
- Soup is homemade, pretty good!
- Salad portion was huge, more for sharing!
- Pizza is also made fresh upon order, crust was thin and fragrant, with generous amount of topping.
- Aglio pasta was prepared with super lots of garlic which I love! Pasta was al dente. Next time I’ll order it with extra ingredients.
- Carbonara was fragrant but too thick/rich for my liking.
- Chicken dish was really good. The meat was charred nicely and still really tender!
I came during dinner time, but they do serve lunch set menu which is super worth!

A literal hidden gem tucked in a quiet corner of East Village, Maggiano surprised us with its quality and value.
We were the only ones dining in for Sunday lunch, though delivery orders were steadily going out.
The carbonara was a standout—al dente pasta, creamy and sticky in all the right ways, with good cheese and perfectly cooked bacon that added just the right amount of richness.
The pizza had a soft base, a nice balance of tomato sauce and cheese, and that satisfying stretchy melt. The crust was a bit too hard and charred for our liking, but we usually skip the crust anyway.
The pan-seared tenderloin wrapped in parma ham was absolutely deserving of a “chef’s special.” Perfectly cooked with a warm red center, paired beautifully with red wine sauce and mustard mash. The mash was a surprise hit—flavorful, creamy, and way better than your usual boring mash elsewhere.
The fresh salad with solid burrata was a perfect starter, and the tiramisu delivered the perfect end. We didn’t snap pics, but the rich layers and liqueur finish left a lasting impression.
The whole meal reminded us of the good food we had in Italy.

Located in one of the corners of East Village, the footfall maybe low but there were quite a few customers dining in during weekday dinner. The space is quite small, can accommodate probably less than 20pax so reservation is recommended.
The salmone pasta which is one of the special menu was not bad, strong tomato flavour in the sauce. The smoked salmon portion is quite generous. The Bismarck pizza is tasty with good amount of ingredients althogh would prefer the dough to be more chewy. The crust is thin and crispy enough, quote enjoyable. Tiramisu could be less sweet and the mascarpone cream is a bit thick for my liking. Overall still a pretty enjoyable experience dining here!
