Been here twice now, and still feel it's a rather nice Indian restaurant (disclaimer: I'm no gourmet reviewer!). The layout has changed a bit from the Google photos - icecream counter on the outside, and inside, decor simple and a little bit frayed around the edges. None of that matters much, cos service is friendly, dining is quiet, and food is really quite good - we've had Tandoori chicken, Tandoori paneer, matter paneer - served with draft beer (Heineken or Edelweiss). Pricing on par with most, and you should walk out satisfied.

Tucked away in a corner of East Village, this is a super cosy/ family style restaurant hidden in plain sight. The decor was pretty neat and tidy, and the place was clean and comfortable.
We had a basket of naans (assorted) which was amazing! There were a LOT of naans so you can definitely count on it to fill you up. The garlic naans were garlicky (by my standards) and there was this interesting naan that had a sweetish-nuts-spice filling in it. I loved how different it was, and would get it again.
The fish curry, paneer curry, and chicken masala were all solid in my opinion. Thick, rich gravy, and substantial chunks of paneer/fish/chicken made for an enjoyable, moreish experience. Deeply decadent, yet not too spicy, I loved them.
We also got gobi (tandoori style and manchurian style (without sauce)). Those were really good, as a side dish kind of thing! Definitely recommend.
You can skip the samosas. 😜. Nothing special! Rest were great though! Would come here again 😍. Friendly staff and quick, personal service!

Indian Tandoor Restaurant has become my absolute favorite spot to unwind with friends and colleagues. Whether we’re gathering for drinks or enjoying a meal, this place never disappoints. The food is consistently amazing, full of authentic flavors that keep us coming back for more. The ambiance is perfect—calm, relaxed, and ideal for any occasion. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we have everything we need. The manager is fantastic as well, always going above and beyond to ensure that every customer feels valued. If you’re looking for a place to chill and enjoy some of the best food in town, Indian Tandoor Restaurant is the place to be!

Decorated like a bar (stocked like a bar too!), but serves authentic good Indian lunch set. We had their Friday special. Took a while, but well worth the wait.

Good Indian cuisine at East Village with a wide menu and lunch promotions.
Schwezwan Mushroom Fry was really a delicious Indo-Chinese touch!

I came here on a weekday for dinner and it was not very crowded. From a distance away I could smell the aroma of the spices and curry. We decided to give it a try after walking around and were not disappointed at all.
The staff is polite and overall the food is very good! One of the highlights is their lamb dum biryani - it was very flavourful and goes well with the additional curry and yogurt sauce provided. The meat is also very generous - almost half of it are soft tender lamb meat chunks. Garlic naan is frangrance and taste good on its own. Tandoori chicken is ok.
I am looking forward to my next visit to try the other dishes. Recommended!

Food Taste is very good. Service is 5*. They are very nice and helpful. I recently went there and it was quite close to their closing hours but they were kind and kept the restaurant open for me and my family.

Came on a Sunday evening and it was empty. Food was okay, though the briyani rice was really soft, but the taste was fine.
Decent Indian option if you have the craving.

One of the best Indian food I had. Lamb dum biryani - rice is fragrant and mutton is tender. Garlic Naan brings out the garlic flavor perfectly with chewy texture. Butter chicken has a great mixture of sweet and sour sauce with a hint of spice. The fresh lime soda with special mixture of salt and sugar is simply refreshing. Overall experience with the food is fantastic and nice gesture of complimentary papadum snack. Highly recommended. 👍🏼

The food was really spicy, butter chicken didn't have enough chicken, the Kati roll veggies were par boiled and spicy while the roll itself was undercooked, the samosa chaat was too sour, the mushroom corn tasted average and was too spicy.the only saving grace was the naan which was great, hence not giving the place 1 star. Bad experience, won't be eating here again.
