If you're craving authentic Northeastern Chinese street food in Singapore, this place is a hidden gem! The "sticky-style" mala tang here is unlike anything I’ve had before — rich, thick sesame sauce generously coats every ingredient, making each bite super flavorful and satisfying.
The owner is from Northeast China, and you can really taste the hometown vibes in the food. Everything is bold, hearty, and comforting, just like how it’s done back home. Plus, they’ve got crispy deep-fried skewers, desserts, and the prices are very student-friendly.
Located near the airport in the East — super convenient if you're around the area. They also have promotions running, so it’s a great time to check them out. Highly recommend for anyone missing Chinese comfort food or looking to try something different and authentic!

New Mala Tang store opened at East Village. Ordered the uncommon northeast china sticky flavour, very pleasant flavour. Also had the Mala xiangguo which was decent. The store is currently running opening promotions.

Tried the sticky Mala soup which is very unique, nutty and flavourful but it can get a little heavy towards the end. Enjoyed the classic bone broth, lots of ingredients to choose from at $3.08/100g

The 15% off attracted my attention, followed by the attentive staffs introducing the flavours available to me.
I had their Northeast China’s signature sticky flavor, served with a thick, creamy peanut sauce which is unique while my friend had the usual mala dry mix.
Surprisingly the mala dry mix had very little oil yet it doesn't lose out on taste!
Their Chinese skewers were good too, must order their eggplants.

Nice to see more mala options from China popping up locally. There are over 50 sides to choose from and a wide condiment bar with around 20 sauces. 8 different bases to choose from. Tried their signature Dongbei-style soup base which was quite unique. Prefer dry mala? They’ve got that too. They also served skewers. Worth checking out if you’re nearby.

Great place with great food! Came here with my wife - Recommend the Classic Bone Broth, milky and thick soup!
Staff was super helpful, she helped us to separate our order into 2 portions so my wife and I could try different flavours!
Not to mention the early 2000s classic songs to add to the feels!
Great place to check out if you are in the area!

Heard about their 20+ outlets in China, so we came to try — and it did not disappoint!
The MLXG here is super 香 and really hits different from the usual ones in SG. We also loved their unique Northeast China Sticky Flavour — can’t find this elsewhere.
Lots of fresh ingredients to pick from, free-flow premium Wuchang rice (五常大米) is a great touch. The tomato broth is a good option for kids or those who can’t take spice — my younger one enjoyed it.
Fried skewers were crispy and flavourful, and their homemade Chinese dessert is launching soon (we got a sneak peek — my girl loved it!).
Is it worth travelling to the East for this? For us — YES! MLXG lovers, definitely worth a visit. Will be back!

Super flavourful and unique Malatang spot! The Northeast China Sticky Flavor is unlike anything I’ve tried in SG thick, sweet-savory, and totally addictive. Mala Dry Mix was spicy and aromatic too. Great variety of ingredients, and the fried skewers were crispy and delicious. Plus, 15% off promo made it even better. Highly recommend!

Great food here. Tried the dong bei sticky flavour and loved it very much. And the MLXG was nice too. We ordered less oil less spicy and my children liked it too. Don’t miss out their interesting flavor fried skewers such as pineapple beef and garlic pork. This place was clean and bright. They also have a dessert stall beside it too.
